Jessica Dewhurst

Jessica Dewhurst, 26, is the founder and driving force behind the growth of The Justice Desk, an award-winning Human Rights Organisation which operates in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It aims to empower local people to understand and defend their human rights, in order to build safer communities for all.

Jessica believes in the power of every day activism and inspires everyone she meets to join the pursuit of peace and to become an advocate for change.

She has led marches, community dialogues and has called for action in speeches in countries all over the world. The Justice Desk has impacted the lives of over 150,000 people in just 6 short years.

The Justice Desk continues to thrive with her as the executive director and is growing in leaps and bounds, increasing its impact and reach yearly. She helps to create platforms for local community members to lead their own change, because they are the true experts in their communities.
