Jo Buitendach

Jo Buitendach, 34, runs a small walking tour company based in the Johannesburg CBD, working passionately to promote the inner city, a space often seen very negatively locally and internationally.

She believes strongly in the inner city communities and residents, as well as the art, history and culture of the city center. She aims to be ethical and community-minded, integrating into local communities, respecting the communities around her, and supporting other small inner city and Soweto businesses.

Through her company, she aims to make South Africans positive about their city, and trying to encourage Joburg as a major tourist destination.
