Khuliso Mulaudzi

Category: Compassion

Khuliso Mulaudzi, 34, uses his love for running to empower others. In March 2019, Khuliso ran the 76km Addo trail for Polio eradication and raised R60 000.

In 2015 together with other runners, he started a training run called WeRunVenda, through which he collects running shoes and sanitary pads for the community. The run is 42km or less so anyone who likes to run can participate as the aim of the event is to keep people fit and active during the long December holidays.

The run starts and finishes at Thavhani Mall and runs through the historic point of Venda (Thathe Vondo, tea plantation and Vondo dam). Khuliso started the run with eight runners in 2015 and now caps entries at 250 people.

The sanitary pads that get collected are distributed to Ndzondelelo Secondary School and Ilita Primary School in Port Elizabeth and schools in Mutheiwana and Tshimbupfe in Limpopo.
