Mpho Tjope, 34, founded Albinism Advocacy for Access, an advocacy group to educate communities to help protect individuals with albinism.

Through his #ICanBe campaign, he brings together pupils with albinism from various schools in an aim to bolster their self-esteem and confidence.

The gatherings invite professionals and entertainers with albinism to motivate the pupils and inspire them not to drop out of school and more importantly, not to commit suicide.

The albinism community in South Africa experiences continued marginalisation and discrimination, with widespread reported killings.
